Upcoming Royal Enfield Bikes To Offer Bluetooth Connectivity And Navigation Features

Royal Enfield has been a very popular brand in the country for a very long time. It is popular for its retro styled modern motorcycle that have a cult following.it is a subsidiary brand of Eicher Motors Pvt. Ltd.

Royal Enfield is now planing to offer new convenience features in some of their motorcycles. The manufacturer is now working on a new instrument cluster for its motorcycle that will support features like Bluetooth and navigation in it.Hence,it is being anticipated that the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 could be the first motorcycle to come equipped with the aforementioned new features.

Convenience Features :

Royal Enfield motorcycles have been a favourite of long distance tourers. While Bluetooth will help the riders easily take calls on the go, satellite navigation will help them find their way effortlessly. The rider will be able to extract data, such as messages and caller names, from his smartphone through the instrument cluster. For the satellite navigation, the motorcycles will be offered with LED displays that will make turn-by-turn navigation possible.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350

Royal Enfield used to sell a bike with Meteor nameplate in America in the 1950s .The Royal Enfield Meteor will be the first Enfield bike from the new J-Platform. It features an all-new frame and a new engine as well.

Spied

The upcoming RE Meteor motorcycle will be powered by an all-new BSVI compliant engine, which will feature the new SOHC system and fuel injection system. Compared to the previous models, the new motorcycle is expected to offer higher power output. We believe the new engine to produce around 22-24bhp of power and close to 30Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle is rendered to get round headlamp with a chrome bezel and a circular instrument console with a larger, offer unit on the left to house the small digital display. The motorcycle gets a teardrop shaped fuel tank and a stepped seat. It features V-shaped alloy wheels and a blacked-out engine case, new indicators, revised footpegs and a wider seat. At the back, the new-generation Royal Enfield Meteor features a circular tail lamp that has a chrome bezel. The turn indicators are positioned next to the number plate, which is placed on the lower side.

Price & Launch :

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird successor is one of the most anticipated motorcycles of this year.The production-ready Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was spotted in March this year. Since the production has now restarted, this means that the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 launch date gets closer.

The bike is expected to be priced at Rs 1,68,550 (ex-showroom) , a premium of around Rs 11,900 over the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will replace the Thunderbird 350X in our two-wheeler market. One of the main reasons for changing the name to ‘Meteor’ is because ‘Thunderbird’ is copyrighted by other brands in international markets.

Nissan is planning to cut about 300 billion yen ($2.8 billion) in annual fixed costs and book restructuring charges as the coronavirus pandemic further depresses the automaker’s sales.
