Royal Enfield Deploys 800 Service Motorcycles to offer Doorstep Service

Royal Enfield has announced its 'service on wheels' initiative where the company has deployed 800 units of purpose-built motorcycles across dealerships in India that are equipped to offer doorstep servicing for Royal Enfield owners.

 The 'service on wheels' fleet of motorcycles are equipped with tools, regular spare parts, lubricants and other equipment which are needed to carry out servicing of a motorcycle. 

Royal Enfield says that up to 80 per cent of all typical maintenance work, minor repairs, parts replacement, components testing and other such service work can be carried out by these service motorcycles.

Nissan is killing Datsun Brand again and plans to cut $2.8B in annual fixed costs

Nissan is planning to cut about 300 billion yen ($2.8 billion) in annual fixed costs and book restructuring charges as the coronavirus pandemic further depresses the automaker’s sales. The automaker will phase out the Datsun brand, shut down one production line in addition to the recently closed operation in Indonesia and reach the reduced spending target this year by cutting marketing, research and other costs in order to hit the reduced spending target which will be outlined as part of a three-year plan announcement on May 28.
