2020 Hyundai Verna facelift launched in India,Price Starts at Rs.9.30 lakhs

One of the most attractive and feature-rich sedans in the country, all-new Hyundai Verna has been launched today.

it was expected to be launched in March but was postpone due to Pandemic.

Design :

Exterior :

The facelifted Hyundai Verna looks a bit more premium than before with wider grill at the front enhanced with smoked chrome treatment on it. The higher variants get all LED headlamps and the redesigned bumper on both front and rear. It gets a chrome strip on the lower bottom of the bumper. The 2020 Hyundia Verna gets alloy wheels with new design and the side profile looks very similar to the older version with a sloping roof design.

Interior :

Interior also got some big changes and feel more premium than ever before.Major features on the inside include an updated dashboard, glossy piano black accents, central AC vents, electric sunroof, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and voice recognition. Comfort and convenience features include wireless charging, ventilated front seats, rear privacy curtain, and electric sunroof.

Engine :

Hyundai has now discontinued its old 1.6-litre and 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engine options. This has been replaced by three new engine options: 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel.

Power & Specifications :

The 1.5-litre petrol unit generates max power of 115 hp and max torque of 144 Nm. Engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT unit.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine delivers 115 hp / 250 Nm and comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.

Most powerful engine is the 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor that generates 120 hp / 177 Nm. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Mileage :

The ARAI certified fuel efficiency for Verna 1.5 litre petrol is 17.7 kmpl for manual and 18.45 kmpl for the CVT version. The 1.5 litre diesel has a certified economy of 25 kmpl for manual and 21.3 kmpl for the automatic. The 1.0 litre turbo petrol version gets a certified economy of 19.2 kmpl.

Safety :

For enhanced safety, new Verna comes with features such as vehicle stability management, front parking sensors, driver rear view monitor, hill start assist control, and rear disk brakes.

Nissan is killing Datsun Brand again and plans to cut $2.8B in annual fixed costs

Nissan is planning to cut about 300 billion yen ($2.8 billion) in annual fixed costs and book restructuring charges as the coronavirus pandemic further depresses the automaker’s sales. The automaker will phase out the Datsun brand, shut down one production line in addition to the recently closed operation in Indonesia and reach the reduced spending target this year by cutting marketing, research and other costs in order to hit the reduced spending target which will be outlined as part of a three-year plan announcement on May 28.
